Cancun best beaches
The best beaches in Cancun are pretty much occupied by the big hotels. however there are a few “public beaches” that are less quiet and just as nice, these include: Playa Linda, Playa Langosta, Playa Tortugas which can be found on the beaches between Cancun and Isla Mujeres and is probably the best area for snorkeling in Cancun.
Opposite Sr Frogs there is another public beach called Playa Chac-Mool, and also for an amazing view of the Caribbean sea and Cancun head to Playa Delfines, which is located by Iberostar Cancun. Just across the road from Playa Delfines lies a small Mayan Ruin called “El Rey” well worth a quick visit. Make sure to pick up your Cancun maps at the airport, they have great maps and lots of discounts on many of the restaurants and nightclubs.
Shopping in Cancun
Shopping is huge in Cancun, with mega malls and its Duty free! The largest of the duty free shops is UltraFemme, which specializes in European jewelry, perfume and cosmetics. Dont forget to pamper yourself and treat yourself to a spa massage.
Cancun is not the best place in Mexico to buy handmade Mexican items as they are more expensive here since they are not locally made.
But if you’re into malls, Cancun’s got your number – nearly as big and fancy as those in the U.S. Check out the Plaza Flamingo (home of the Planet Hollywood Cancun), Plaza Caracol (home of Cartier, Guess and Senor Frog clothing), Maya Fair Plaza (with it’s open-air eateries), and Forum by the Sea (where you’ll find Levi’s Tommy Hilfiger and even Harley Davidson as well as the Hard Rock Cafe).
La Isla Shopping Village is an open-air mall that looks like a small village. Small canals wend their way through the village. There’s an interactive aquarium (swim with dolphins) a first-run movie theater and a huge variety of shops and restaurants.
You will never get bored in Cancun, with something always happening.
